On the largest island of the Balearic Islands, located between Ibiza and Menorca in the Mediterranean Sea, you not only find dream beaches, but also pure natural idyll. Well, and of course: a lot of PARTY!
Here are our five ultimate holiday tips for you:
A visit to the capital city Palma is an absolute must! The cathedral of Palma is located directly at the harbor and is breathtakingly beautiful. After taking a few photos to prove to your family that you're not just partying all the time, you take a walk to the Parc de la Mar. The beautiful area is located right next to the cathedral and shows works of art by the Catalan artist Joan Miró.
Enough culture - now it's time for: ¡Vamos a la playa! Mallorca has many beautiful beaches to offer. One of them is a long bay called Port de Pollenca in the north of the island. Not an insider tip, but it is still worth a visit. Cala sa Nau in the southeast between Portocolom and Cala d'Or is absolutely stunning: turquoise blue water, reddish rocks and pine trees together form a real dream scenery.
Of course, you also want to enjoy the culinary delights of your holiday. Tapas are ideal for several people, since the small "appetizers" are perfect for sharing. These are small snacks like bacon-wrapped dates, olives, fried mini peppers...and so much more! Just try it out, for example in the restaurant "La Bóveda" in the Carrer de la Botería directly located in the old town of Palma.
Don't worry, we surely don't miss out the fun part. Apart from the classic party mile along Playa de Palma, Mallorca has numerous alternatives to offer. The "Opio Bar" in Palma's old town or the beach club "purobeach" near the airport, for example, are real hotspots. After all, you can hit the floor in the nightclub "el divino" in the Paseo Maritimo.
Mallorca, especially Palma, is ideal for shopping. If you forgot your favourite bikini or party dress at home, it's no big deal: our NEW YORKER store is right in Palma in the Carrer de Sant Miquel.
