NEW YORKER Lions are Eurobowl Champion
On Saturday, June 9, 2018, the teams of Samsung Frankfurt Universe and NEW YORKER Lions competed against each other at Eurobowl XXXII in Frankfurt. With a 20:19 - victory the lions secured the 6th Eurobowl title in their club's history.
The almost 3,200 spectators in Frankfurt's PSD Arena experienced a first-class game. The Samsung Frankfurt Universe and the NEW YORKER Lions competed at eye level for the Eurobowl Cup for a total of 4.5 hours. The game had to be interrupted for 100 minutes after the 7th minute due to a storm. The two teams then played an exciting game in which the NEW YORKER Lions kept their nerve and won 20:19 in the end and brought the title as Eurobowl Champion home fourth time in a row. Lions newcomer Jadrian Clark was elected MVP (most valuable player) that evening.

Thanks to the 6th Eurobowl title, the Braunschweig team are the only record holders, ahead of the Vienna Vikings, who have won the title five times so far. Head Coach Troy Tomlin's team beat Amsterdam Crusaders and Paris Flash La Courneuve on their way to this year's Eurobowl final. The German record champion from Braunschweig is happy about the successful title defence and now clearly sees the next goal in sight: The 12th title as German Bowl Champion!

We are proud of the performance and team spirit of the NEW YORKER Lions and congratulate them on winning the Eurobowl again.
