Latin Vibes with Camilo
Latin Grammy winner and current Grammy-nominated Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo releases his second album "Mis Manos". Win with NEW YORKER 1x2 tickets for his concert in Berlin on 03.10.2021!
After the success he had last year with his debut album "Por Primera Vez", Latin superstar Camilo continues his momentum in 2021. "Mis Manos" is, according to the artist, an album that is the result of his intuition - and he's spot on with that: Camilo's remix of the track "Kesí" together with Shawn Mendes has reached around 55 million Spotify streams to date (worth listening to: US superstar Shawn Mendes sings in Spanish for the first time! ), and is well on its way to matching his several hundred million streams of "Vida de Rico" and "Bebé" from the same album, which furthermore even made it into Spotify's "Global Top 50" - a feat not many artists can boast.

With the song "Kesí" he explores the rhythms of champeta, which transport us to the coast of the Colombian Pacific, Camilo's home, and takes us on a journey full of tropical, flirtatious and happy vibes. Not only does Camilo have a knack for the right songwriting, but he is also a musical multi-talent, playing a variety of instruments himself including guitar, cuatro, ronroco, charango and piano.

"If you have the right song at the wrong moment, you have the wrong song. And if you have the wrong song at the right moment, you have the wrong song. It has to be the right song at the right moment," Camilo says of his recipe for success, adding, "Although I'm called an 'artist,' I consider myself more of an 'artisan.' Without 'La Tribu' (my fans) and God, I would never be where I am today. Growing as an artist and growing as a person are two different things and work differently."

Camilo hails from Medellín, Colombia. Before making his solo debut, he had already written other hits for artists. Then in 2019, he released his first single, complete with video, "No Te Vayas," on Sony Music Latin, and shortly after began touring Latin America, the U.S. and Spain.

"Tutu," Camilo's second single, caught the attention of Shakira, who asked via Instagram if she could support him in a remix of the song. In September 2019, Camilo received his first Latin Grammy nomination, for Song of the Year. Finally, in 2020, he received 5 Latin Grammy nominations and won the award for Best Pop Song for "Tutu."
