Enda Award 2010
May 2010: New Yorker is the proud winner of the 'ENDA' award in the 'Best Foreign Brand for Men' category. This design prize was awarded at the 'XII Fashion Gala Moda & Style' event, which took place in Warsaw on 16th May. During the gala event both Polish and non-Polish brands presented their latest collections. New Yorker showed selected garments from this year's spring and summer collection. The jury consisted of celebrities from the Polish fashion, entertainment and media industries.
 
Retailer-Award 2009
September 2009: At its Retail Meeting in Düsseldorf on 23rd September 2009 Hamburg-based shopping centre specialist ECE honoured the retailers of the year with its ‘Retailer-Awards’ 2009. New Yorker won the award in the Best Performance category. In presenting this award, the jury praised the fact that the company has developed with “its fashionable clothes, attractive prices and consistent expansion” into a “global player”. There to receive the honour was Reinhard Döhler (3rd from right), New Yorker’s Director of Expansion. This year’s Retail Meeting was the seventh time this annual event had been staged. Around 500 CEOs and expansion managers from the retail trade took part, holding discussions on numerous contemporary issues.
 
Nomination for the German-Dutch Business Prize 2009
August 2009: This award goes to one of a shortlist of five companies, with votes from the business community deciding the winner. As part of this process, New Yorker was featured on the German-Dutch Chamber of Trade website, where visitors were able to cast their vote (click on the picture on the left). The 2009 Business Prize was awarded on 6th October in Amsterdam to Multi Development Germany GmbH. Even though we ultimately missed out on the prize, we were nevertheless very proud of this nomination.
 
Laur Klienta 2009 (Customer Laurel 2009)
August 2009: 2009 was the fifth year of the Laur Klienta awards in Poland and New Yorker Polska Sp. z o.o. was the winner in the ‘Sieci sklepów odziezowych dla mlodziezy’ category (Retail chain – Clothing stores for teenagers). The Laur Klienta is Poland’s biggest consumer programme and this year launched a consumer survey on the country’s most popular products. The Laur Klienta award is thus a mark of acclaim from the consumers of Poland for the best product or service quality.
 
Bravo awards in 2007 and 2009
March 2007: New Yorker wins the Bravo Otto for the best advertisement visual of 2006.

March 2009: New Yorker wins the Bravo AD-Award for the best ad in the second half of 2008.

More than 2,000 Bravo.de users have again chosen their favourite ad, this time for the period of the second half of 2008: with over 40% of the votes, the New Yorker ad featuring the tecktonik dancers took first place! The users had to pick from a total of 42 ads that appeared in either Bravo, Bravo Girl!, Bravo Sport, Bravo ScreenFun, Bravo HipHop Special or Yeah!.

August 2009: New Yorker wins the silver Bravo AD-Award for one of the most popular ads in the first half of 2009.

During three weeks this August, more than 3,100 Bravo.de users rated a total of 36 ads that had appeared in the Bravo family’s four publications. A total of 39.32% of participants gave our ad top marks.
 
Visions for Leadership Award
June 2009: The Visions for Leadership Awards 2009 were presented at the awards evening of the ‘forward2business-Zukunftskongress’ (Visions of the Future Congress) on 16th June 2009. Each year, the awards honour visionaries of the media / brands / technology sector whose innovative ideas over the preceding 12 months have brought about a lasting change to business models and shaped them for the future. This year, New Yorker won the award for the most innovative business model in the music and media sector!
 
Nomination for the 2010 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany
June 2009: The Design Award is the highest official German design prize. It is presented by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and awarded by the German Design Council. New Yorker is on the nomination list in 2009 with our commercial entitled ‘The First Dance’. It has been nominated for its set design in the Communications Design category.
 
London International Award
November 2008: On 11th November 2008, New Yorker won silver at the London International Awards in the Cinematography category for our commercial entitled ‘Closet’.

This prize honours and rewards exclusively the best and most creative work in advertising, design and digital media. There were a total of 10 categories. New Yorker was also nominated in the Television & Cinema category for our commercial ‘The Last Dance’.
 
VDW Award (‘Hatto’)
October 2008: On 11th October 2008 in Frankfurt-am-Main, New Yorker received the ‘Hatto’ VDW Award for the commercial for Best Set Design. A total of 342 commercials had entered this year’s competition. The ‘Hatto’ VDW Awards, covering a total of 15 categories, have been presented by the Association of German Advertising Film Producers (VDW) since 2002. The awards recognise the artistic quality of outstanding commercial film productions and honour the people who play a major part in their creation. New Yorker was also nominated for its commercial in two further categories: Best Direction and Best Visual Effects.
 
Ampe Award 2008
June 2008: New Yorker receives two nominations for the AMPE Awards in Spain.

At the end of May 2008 in Madrid, the Spanish Media Association, Asociación de Medios Publicitarios, presented their AMPE Awards for the 39th time. New Yorker was nominated in two categories for the company’s commercial entitled ‘Closet’, which attracted attention all over Europe. In Spain too the commercial enjoyed a very positive reaction and was nominated by the AMPE organisation as part of their annual awards for the Best Advertising Campaign in the Cinema and AMPE Silver categories.
 
Eurobest Award
April 2008: New Yorker ad in the final of the Eurobest Awards 2007 in the TV/Cinema category
The Eurobest Awards represent Europe’s top creative competition, which annually honours the best work done in the advertising field. Awards are given for outstanding creative achievements in radio, TV/cinema, print, outdoor, media, direct marketing and sales promotion, as well as in integrated communications and interactive campaigns. In 2007, 5,333 entries were submitted, from which an eleven-strong jury of European experts selected the best advertising projects from 37 nations.

New Yorker was one of the finalists in the TV/Cinema category. Our ‘Time to Change’ commercial was nominated for the award in the Clothing Footwear & Accessories section.
 
CNCC Award
June 2007: New Yorker receives Trophée de l’enseigne, catégorie GSS from the Association of French Shopping Centres (CNCC).

Every year, the CNCC, the Association of French Shopping Centres, organises a trade show attended by shopping centre operators and retailers from all over France, where it is also known as the little MAPIC. During the show, awards are presented to companies demonstrating special potential. In 2007, the winner in the category ‘Retailer in medium size outlets with the greatest future potential’ was New Yorker!
 
Joy Trend Award
March 2007: New Yorker jeans win Joy readers’ Trend Award.

Lifestyle magazine Joy appears monthly and has a circulation of 576,000. In 2006, the magazine launched its Trend Awards. These are split into three categories: Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle. In the Fashion category 42,000 Joy readers voted for New Yorker’s Blue Denim jeans (product no. 03-750), thus winning the jeans the Joy Readers’ Trend Award.
 
New York Festival - International Advertising Award 2006
December 2006: New Yorker commercial wins International Advertising Award 2006.

‘New York Festivals’ is a global flagship organisation in the advertising industry and famous for its long and illustrious history of honouring creative communications.

In 2006, New Yorker received one of the prestigious awards in the Advertising category. The International Advertising Award 2006 came our way for the winter 2005 ‘Dress for the moment’ campaign, with which we caused quite a stir all over Europe. The winning campaign was the product of collaboration with the German advertising agency Philipp und Keuntje.
 
MAPIC Award
November 2005: New Yorker wins French MAPIC Award in the Clothing/Fashion & Accessories category.

On 17th November 2005 at the Marché International Professionnel de l’Implantation Commerciale et de la Distribution (MAPIC Trade Fair), Braunschweig-based fashion retailer New Yorker was presented with the MAPIC Award 2005.
